Tips for telling personalized stories to your kids
I started telling bedtime stories to my kids when they were very young. It wasn’t long before I realized that my kids liked to imagine that they were part of the story. But this isn’t just true for my kids, try it yourself……next time you tuck your kids in bed, make up a bedtime story with a hero that has the same name as one of your kids. Watch your child’s eyes light up as he or she visualizes defeating horrible villains and effortlessly overcoming seemingly insurmountable obstacles. My four-year-old got so into this that he started interrupting me excitedly and telling his own versions of my story that included me as the dad!
